Scriptures on Salvation

Bible

“And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

What do these verses tell us about the source of salvation?

“For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.” Romans 5:6-9

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:8-9

Christ died for sinners, who are saved by his grace. What hope do these verses give? What difference do they make in your life?

“And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” Acts 16:31

“For he says, “In a favorable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2

What do these verses teach us about how we come to know Jesus? How urgent should we be to know our own salvation and urge others to know our Savior?
